  • LinkedIn is a great way to connect with other professionals, but you’re limited to the specific blocks of content they provide. The platform also has its own set of “best practices” and advisable word limits per section. A website allows you to control the structure and content more freely, optimizing for SEO using targeted keywords. It also serves as a convenient means to learn about your work, research agenda, publications, and more, that are not always best represented on LinkedIn.

  • Yes! Often, university pages for professors or graduate students are 1) very dated in style, 2) limited in what you can share, and 3) aren’t very user friendly, to name just a few of their shortcomings. Your university page can be important, but your website allows you to showcase so much more, while incorporating aspects of your personal aesthetic.

  • This depends on the goals you have for your website. If you want a digital business card – a brief introduction to yourself and your work with links to additional content elsewhere – a single page may suffice. Alternatively, you might prefer dividing a simple introduction into multiple pages for aesthetic reasons. If you intend to share a substantial amount of content, such as a blog, have very different types of research projects, or wish to include a description of a research group, then multiple pages would be the most suitable choice. We're here to assist you in making the best decision based on your specific goals and would be happy to discuss this via email or in a consultation.

  • If you only require minor editing assistance, we often include this service free of charge based on the content you provide. However, if you need more extensive help, such as significantly refining the content for grammatical correctness or translating content from another language into English, we can arrange this for a supplementary fee.

  • The one-hour consultation and the report in the Basic vs. Standard/Premium packages are quite different, but if you want to upgrade, we can discuss how you can transfer to one of the other packages.

  • Absolutely! We can take what we've developed for your website and adapt it to your other social profiles. We recommend starting with LinkedIn.
